Exam preparation course, business English course and Academic year course prepare you for university and are also offered at Wimbledon school of English. If you are looking for something different, they also offer English for Law, English for film making, work experience and courses for teachers.

Wimbledon School of English Facilities

Facilities at Wimledon School of English The school is located in alovely building with a large and beautiful garden. The building is a beautiful Edwardian house which still has its original antique fireplaces and stained glass windows. The school is bigger than it looks and has excellent facilities, including 20 classrooms, a large common room for relaxation, a beautiful garden with plenty of room to sit outside when the sun comes out, a Self-Access Centre, an internet lounge with 5 computers, a snack bar, a table-tennis table and a piano.


Wimbledon School of English also offers a self access centre. The Self-Access Centre Manager, who is also a teacher, is there from 13.30- 16.30 everyday to help you and her office is next to the Self-Access Centre. You can ask your teacher for help. In the self assess centre, there are 8 computers for word processing and research on the internet, CD ROMS for grammar, vocabulary and exam practice, a listening library with CDs and cassettes , a reading library , a film library ,a reference library and tourist information

Wimbleon School of English is very close to the famous Wimbledon All England Tennis ClubThe school is located in an ideal location in one of the best parts of London with a large shopping centre, cinema, theatres & excellent facilities. It is just 3 minute’s walk from Wimbledon train and underground stations and only 20 minutes from Central London There is plenty to do in Wimbledon; fashionable shops in Centre Court Shopping Centre, cinemas, two theatres, sports & fitness clubs, a swimming pool, several nightclubs and cafes, bars, pubs & restaurants – all only a few minutes from the school. There are also Wimbledon Village, one of London’s traditional villages. The Village dates from the 11th century and is only a 10-minute walk away. Next to the Village is Wimbledon Common, a large natural area (460 hectares) of grassland, woods and lakes, perfect for horse riding, jogging, walking with friends or playing a round of golf. And of course, we are very lucky to be the home of the famous All England Lawn Tennis Club which brings the top names in tennis to our doorstep every summer.
