Travelling Whilst my Sponsor’s Licence is Suspended

Hi there,

I would like to travel to Spain in April, but my college’s license was suspended. Please tell me am I able to travel to EU or not. My Tier 4 visa is valid till the middle of 2011.

Best regards,

  • Dear Sir/Madam:

Im planning to go for a holiday back home but my college that I’m attending is under suspension. Do you think it cannot affect me when I come back and the immigration won’t send me home?

Looking forward to hear from you…
    Thanks

    Best regards,

    Jenny Caraan

  • My college is suspended n i m gonna travel to my home country for my own wedding. I read on ukba website that they allow entry if ur college is suspended but not revoked. I spoke to immigration people as well they said it shoulnt be a problem in case of suspension.

  • Personally I wouldn’t risk it. But each to their own. I would agree with the other posts, get a letter if you can from your education body and take it from there.

    • If people really do I have to fly, I would advise getting a letter from your education provider confirming your absence.

  • I am surprised that you people are asking this silly questions. You came to this country purposely to come and study, your school got susspended and instead of you finding another school to enrol you are planning of traveling around like Guilliver Travels.
Which comes first your studies or the traveling you want to make?
If you travel its to your own detriment because someone did it and got away with it doesnt mean you will get away with it no matter how many vocabulary you can speak at the point of entry.
The immigration officers are not thesame, if i happens to be one of them i will deny you rightof entry.

    • Gboyega :- Your pompous comment has annoyed me considerably.

First of all Colleges which are suspended can get their A rating back if they improve whatever procedure failed them initially – Peter did not say his college had been removed from the Register of Sponsors so why should he register with a different College so soon when there is a possibility he won’t need to ?

Secondly, Peter may have already paid his training fees in full – do you really think a suspended College is going to refund fees quickly – if at all?!

Thirdly, just because Peter is here on a student visa does not mean that he cannot take holidays or visit another Country – most Colleges would be closed for all or part of April anyway due to Easter so why shouldn’t he be allowed to travel if he wishes.

Finally, I personally would be very worried if you were an immigration officer – your grammar and punctuation are terrible and your attitude isn’t nice at all.

Peter :- I suggest you don’t travel out of the UK until you have your training in place. It would be advisable for you to take a permission letter from your College which confirms that they are aware you are going on holiday on whatever dates and that your course would recommence on your return .. Even telephoning UK Border & Immigration or Heathrow immigration directly would not get you a satisfactory answer to whether you would be able to re-enter the UK after a holiday !!

      • I am sorry if my reply to Peter makes me POMPOUS,i was carried away by Peter’s question, which is very simple and straight forward its just that the primary thing for Peter to do is to settle his colege situation first before traveling. I am not claiming to be a Professor in English language,it is my second language,i will give you my comments for editing for you to put the comas and full stops where its supposed to be before it goes public next time.

    • hey…i’m so disappointed the way you answered the question…as im travelling as well but i already had the ticket.i will go home for xmas and the school had just been suspended.this question was raised not because of nothing, it’s for us to find some advices to make our worries gone…psychologically, ur giving extra burden to the people who ask help…try to be considerate not be so pessimistic.

    • The UK Border Agency do not advise travel, so I would still exercise caution when traveling whilst your sponsor’s licence is suspended.
