Hi,Daniel.I had submitted my application for extending visa last 19 march. my problem is my college has been suspended last march 01,that’s why they ca not isssue a cas number.that is the reason why my application has been returned and considered as invalid, now they give me another 28 days to comply the requirements and they attached a biometric form with my details.is it possible for me to change and enrolled in another college who can issue a cas number.I feel disappointed since i paid full tuition fee at majestic college and im half way of the course and now im struggling.i need advice what to do.thanks…

hi daniel! hope you can enlighten me with my problem. im a former student of majestic college as well. i transferred to another provider last april because majestic was suspended. i stopped paying my monthly balance then. i informed majestic thru email that i transferred and they replied saying that they regret knowing that i did. i also sent a letter to ukba informing them of my transfer to another educational provider. just this morning though i received a mail from a debt collector company who is collecting the whole balance of 4000 plus pounds in behalf of majestic. they are telling me to pay the amount within 14 days or they will take legal actions if i dont. i was enrolled with majestic for 3 courses namely nvq 4 and Leadership and management before i transferred to another school. i was paying them a monthly installment while i was with them and just stopped it when i transferred last april. please do advice me regarding this matter the soonest for it really is very disturbing and devastating…hope for your soonest reply, thanks!

hi,
im a former student of majestic, by the time they hve thier licence suspended i didnt go to class and stop paying them anymore. its just fair right? now they kicked me out. They sent me a letter saying im not connected to them anymore and i still have to pay my remaining £2100 balance.. is that right? they even contact my carehome and i was out of the job. And they are not done with me, they use a debt collection company which is STA graydon to collect from me, but now its £4,811!! that is a big scam and rip off right? STA graydon demanded also demanded me to pay it in 14 days or else they use legal action and court may require me to pay the £4,811 plus interest, court fees and other legal cost..
does anyone have the same experience or can advise me what to do?

hi, Im student of majestic college and it happens that they sent me an email saying that i need to pay nad finish my portfolio on the month of august, They insist me to pay my tuition fee in full in order for me to catch graduation and certificate this oct. But today when i went back to majestic collegei found out that my portfolio is still on their hands and they didnt touch anything on it. and when i ask them they said that im failed. Why im failed? lack of assesor that what they said. but its not my fault not having an assesor.They ask me to enroll again and pay again which i dont want it. they cheat me, and promise me that if i pay in full i will get my certificate soon, but now they said forget about it… my question is… do you have any agency or any bureau to complain them…. what shall i do? please help me…

Hi Daniel,
I am also a student in Majestic College and as of now I already changed my education provider because there’s no sense in staying with the College who is suspended in many months now and rumor has it that their licensed is revoked and still asking tuition fee from the students. I am planning to go on holiday this September and my new education provider which is A-rated already gave me Confirmation of Authorized Leave. I just enrolled last July 1,2010 in my new college. Will it be easy for me going back here or will I have any problems with the immigration when I come back? I have all the necessary papers from my new college. Is the college continuing to teach you? They are obligated to if you are already in the UK and sponsored by them. Please provide details.
You would need to provide notice of your intention to change sponsor. However, effective 23 July 2010, when changing to an A or B rated college you will now have to wait for the Home Office’s permission before starting your course.

This is quite a common problem faced by many students.
The UKBA does advise students not to travel if their sponsor’s licence has been suspended. If withdrawn permanently, you would certainly face problems at the airport.
We’ve received reports from students who have been returned home and had their visas cancelled upon arrival at a UK airport.
Are you in a position to change college before you go on holiday – that way there would be no problems?

my friend renewed her visa last april and they advice my friend to move to another school because majestic is still suspended. knowing that my friend is also fully paid from her nvq3 and she used to come to college once a month. so my friend move to wave training and they assist my friend in renewing her visa.

I’m slightly confused as to what you mean by paid up to the level you’ve achieved.
If possible, I would suggest you transfer college because it is a tough choice to pay a college who is currently not licensed. Whilst a college is obligated to continue providing you tuition, what happens if they go bust? And if their licence is withdrawn you would have to change sponsor anyway, so give it some thought.

There would be a possibility that you will not able to enter UK again. If the you have been picked up by a strict immig. officer. Automatically you will be sent home. So I suggest to you that just save the money you will use for the trip you planned. Look around you everything has changed not like 2 years ago..

Hi. i am an NVQ2 student in Majestic College. when i got my student visa in the Philippines, i was not yet under Tier 4. But then the school got suspended. Are we affected by the suspension?because they have told us that because we were not under Tier 4, we are not affected by the suspension. What does that mean? and is Majestic College still under suspension?I just need to be enlightened because there are so many confusions about it.we feel that they are noT really telling us the whole truth and we were kept hunging and unsure of our future as a student.
is it legal for them to ask us to continue paying our monthly tuition fee when they are under suspension? because if we don’t, apparently they will report us to UKBA for deportation.

After having read the series of conversations as above, I think the best approach to this problem is to move to different provider which you are entitled. However,before you can move to other colleges, you have to seek permission from the UKBA first before making any step to move to your new provider.

It is true, i heard it would take some months before a college get re instated. As i see it, enrolling to another educational provider is the other option or shall i say the only option. =) anyway, what will happen if a student will not pay the remaining balance eventhough the college is obliging them? And telling them that if they will not pay, the college will close the students’ file and would notify the UKBA that the student is no longer under the college? I hope im making sense here though i already see that enrolling to other school is the only option.
So, will it be okay that a student will not pay the remaining balance? What will be the consequences a student may suffer under this? Can students do that Daniel? Not paying the remaining balance and transfer to other educational provider without suffering consequences from their previous college? Please give me some view of this. It would really help them.

Im also worried that they have been asking the students for the school payments and yet the college cannot provide a CAS for their students to renew their VISAs. I am aware that paying the school monthly tuition fee is a students’ obligation but what about the college obligations to their students? I believe that the college is responsible for giving their students the CAS esp. For those who paid in full. But that is not what is happening i guess. Please tell us students is this how it should be for us?

You’re quite right Lorefe, this is a very tricky situation for students to be in. Perhaps it would be best to change sponsor, rather than pay a dodgy college and lose even more money? I’d strongly recommend tuition fee insurance; let me know if you need details.

Sad thing is that, they also paid for the suspended college and they have not been able to finish their course. Such a waste of money. Their licence was suspended 1 March 2010, so still relatively recently. I don’t think we will hear anything for several months yet.

I know a lot of friends who are enrolled at this school. Eventhough the college is suspended they are still obliging the students to pay the full tuition fee. And i just think that it is unfair because given by dolly’s case, the college cannot provide a CAS. So what now? will the college( majestic) help her for some supporting documents saying that they cannot issue yet a CAS and that they are still waiting for the result of their reinstatement? Or are they just going to let the student struggle and get deported without finishing her course? Given the fact that she already paid in full amount. I just think that they should straighten this up. It is just so unfair.
