they should refund you your fee, minus an admin charge. It should be on their application form what their refund policy is. If you can’t get a hold of anyone from the college turn to the local british authorities and file a complaint. Best of luck (a person working in a college)

Hello, I’m about to take instruction from an agent in Ludhiana, India whose students have been “de-frauded.” Please let me have as much information about each of your individual cases – LCBM officers’ names, contact numbers, bank/payment references, your complaints to your local police, British High Commissions etc.
I will work out the costs involved and figure out a way of holding a fighting “legal fund” and request anybody wanting to act jointly to get in touch. If acting jointly is not a possibility, I’ll keep those interested, posted.
(I work as an Immigration Advisor, so I’ll have to instruct specialist solicitors to handle criminal/matters etc.)
Good luck and regards to all,
MP

You can take action by hiring a lawyer in the UK. There are several people on here who are doing just that. Best to club together and pool the legal costs. Let me know if you need details of who to contact and I will gladly pass your details on.

Hi Shergill
I suggest the following:
1. Your hire a solicitor and give him / her all the facts
2. Ask your solicitor to write to the BAC / ASIC – and lodge a complaint and enquire how they passed acceptance in the first place? Ask you solicitor whether you have a case against them also for giving confidence about a college that was fraudulent – their inspection process and so on.
3. Send copies of all correspondence per your solicitor to all the colleges listed on the UKBA accredited site and ask for their support in taking action against the scum bags who lie and cheat to steal from students.
4. Attempt to find out who the agents are who represent the scam colleges and see if legal action can be taken against them – or can they be blacklisted as unreliable by the UKBA.
Unfortunately, another college that used to operate in Borough High Street (London Bridge) has had its name changed as is reportedly under new management. The previous directors have left (we think).
One of them has started a college in Oxford Street and the other is starting a college just our of London. Both these directors have been reported to the police and the Revenue Department. Further action is being prepared as I write.
We do need to get everyone together to present a united front – perhaps Daniel can assist us?

Bruce

I will be emailing everyone who has been caught up to assess numbers. There are complications, such as if the company is declared bankrupt and is limited by shares, the directors have not liable for the company’s debts.
The best thing to do is to asses the numbers of students keen to take action and see it through to the end. Then we can take the issue forward.

There are too many topics with the same problem: LCBM … can we all talk on only one topic? … anyway … basicly we all have the same problem with LCBM : they got out money!
Amrit said that they run away with the money… I think that they are still somewhere in UK … because I had some of their numbers… and Qursham answered 1 week ago…or something like that….telling me that he quit the college in may … and 2 weeks after him Faisal left as well … and that he can’t find Faisal as well … which is a bit strange.. anyway.. that’s his number: 07894474571
try to get more infos if u can …

I’m currently out of the UK Amrit, so can’t visit I’m afraid. i can when I’m back. Legal action will be the only route now, I’m sure. It would also be worth writing to the Home Office Minister, the UKBA and any relevant accrediting bodies.
Do you have copies of all your paperwork you can provide me? My email is daniel@adviceforyou.org.uk

All students in this situation need to get together. I think I will have to create a separate area for this and sticky it so everyone can find it. Collective action will be much easier – but first, we need to hunt down the people involved.
Do you know of any other students in your situation?

I would like to suggest you that please ask either your agent if you have or visit yourself in British Embassy in Nepal. It’s very hard to get refund from UK college nowadays because of high numbers of college are under suspension at the same time so. You have work with your wise rather than to shout. If you would seeking for advice then you may go for expert counselor in Nepal as well
Hope you understand better.

I suggest you approach the UKBA and ask them. They would have the names and detals of the Directors / also ASIC or the BAC.
The British High Commission / Embassy in Nepal might also be able to help you.
If you came through a local agent in Nepal, you might ask them and find out what the score is. I would also question the agent about what THEY intend to do – after all, they have recommended the school to you.
If you want an honest agent in Nepal – just let me know and I will make a recommendatio for you to consider.
Regards
Bruce
