I wanted to know that if anyone got their CAS Letter after 22nd Feb ?
I have paid the complete course fees on 22nd Feb but still waiting to get Admission letter nor CAS
No.

can anyone tell me about getting the cas no. again from the college if once your visa is refused, how much are the charges because my college is asking GBP 1500 to generate the cas no. again
and how difficult is getting the student visa for uk nowadays as i have been refused twice for different reasons and i want to try once again

Thanks for your response but my cosultant keep saying that IELTS is not the requirement of UKBA its the requirement of college. He said if i study a pre-sessional english language course before my main course starts then i dont need any IELTS. I wana know if its true or he is just setting me up.

I don’t have any idea about the college but surely Daniel will be able to guide you on this, but about IELTS, and as far as i know, You have to give IELTS an that also you should have atleast 5.5 to 6 band.

Can anyone tell me about any good college realted to Business studies. That college should also be eligible for issuance of CAS no in April Because i,m goin through the same situation as Mr. Jack. & one more thing i dont have any Ielts could you guide me regarding all this. Hi Daniel,
No, still i have not got admission letter nor CAS No. as promised by my consultant. I had called up the college directly and they said that you will be getting the CAS no. only in the end of April. Hence i have requested my consultant to refund my complete fees & have sent them the admission cancellation letter.
Now again i have a big challenge over here to get the college fees back.
They have promised me that they will give me Post Datad Cheque & in 20 days. i will get my money back.

Just to update you that again i had followed up with my consultant and again he has promised me that by this coming friday i should get Admission letter, CAS No. & other documents from London college of commerce.

Did you get your documents as promised? I’d start hounding your agent if I were you – the more pressure you put them under, the more pressure they will put the school under. However, given the time difference I think they are probably just email the college, which is no good really. Phone calls are much better!

Today again i had called my consultant to ask about the status, and again they are saying that by the end of this week you should get CAS No.
Actually i was thinking that i should directly call London College of Commerce & ask them about the status, but i have gone through consultant & have given them the fees that’s why i am doing follow up through consultant only.
I you get any information about London college of commerce issuing CAS no. or something related to that then please update us.
As soon as i will get the CAS No., i will surely update you.

You are right as we are getting CAS Numbers from a college in Manchester
(10 CAS Numbers per Day) they have trained their more than one staff to generate the CAS Numbers.

I think sponsor’s even have to tell the UK Border Agency the names of the people who will have access to the Sponsorship Management System. Sharing the password for the SMS that’s used to issue CAS numbers can result in a sponsor losing their licence.

That’s true, but no CAS numbers can be issued through the SMS whilst a sponsor’s licence is suspended.

I have paid the complete fees to London College of Commerce on 19th Feb 2010. But still they have not issued me the Admission Letter & CAS No. When i asked them about the reason, they just says that still it will take 1 week for us to issue the Adm. Letter & CAS No.
I just wanted to know 2 things:
(1) Is Colleges take so much time to generate CAS No. (Specially about London College of Commerce) ?
(2) Is London college of commerce was inspected by UKBA in past and has cleared them OR their Inspection is still pending.

The actual process of issuing a CAS through the SMS system is instantaneous. However, colleges have dedicated members of staff responsible and many do take quite a while, especially if they are busy. Sorry but I don’t have any details on London College of Commerce’s inspection – I’ll contact them for an update.

Since 22 February 2010, sponsors have been able to issue CAS numbers only. No more visa letters.
If a sponsor’s licence is suspended, they can not issue any CAS numbers.
Many students have obviously already received CAS numbers as they have to have one to apply for a UK student visa.
