I am from India, my visa application for Tier 4 (General) Student Visa has been refused twice so far.
First time it was refused was due to the bank statement provided with the Application was not on the letter head of ICICI Bank bearing the logo and the name of the Bank along with Stamp and Signature.
Second time it was refused was due to Invalid CAS Letter, As I wasnt aware that we cannot use the same CAS Letter more than once and I reapplied for Visa without getting the New CAS from the College in UK. So I got second refusal from British High Commission saying that the CAS Letter is invalid!
Now I am going to put forth my application for the third time, I have got the latest statement for the period of 1 Apr 2010 till 1 Jul 2010 today from ICICI Bank on the Colored Letter Head of Bank along with the stamp and signature from the bank.
Second thing, I have also got the new CAS Letter from the College with new Start dates for my course as my Course has now been delayed by one and half month.
My Visa appointment at VFS Global is on 5th Jul 2010 morning 8 am, and the statement period is 1 Apr 2010 till 1 Jul 2010 and the statement date is of today (2 Jul 2010).
I would request you to please give me assistance in regards to anything else that I need to take care off. Another thing I wanted to put some light on is, UK Immigrations asks for passport size photos with dimensions: 45mm Height and 35mm Width, I took the same kind of passport size image when I first applied for the Visa has VFS, they told me that this photo will not do and they asked me to get the photos from their in house photographer who charges Rs.100 for 4 photos (about 1.5 GBP for 4 pics) but the pics that they gave is too big in size, however the VFS People accepted those pics as afterall they are the pics that I got from their in house Photographer.
Also, is it necessary to give photocopies off all the documents along with the application? In first two attempts of Visa, I didnt give any photocopies of my documents, just submitted the originals and the VFS People didnt even ask for the photocopies, but I noticed they also have a inhouse Photocopy machine at every VFS Center and many people were getting their documents photocopied (except me). So please let me know if I must also submit the photocopies..
Apart from this, if there is anything else that you believe I must take care about, please do let me know. I would appreciate any kind of responses in relation to my Visa application that can help me further for my application.

I had applied for visa at the VFS Delhi centre on 19th August, but I still haven’t heard from them since. As far as I know, and according to my agent, I have supplied all the necessary documents along with the consecutive 28 days bank statements (One HDFC Bank statement and one passbook of Andhra Bank, along with the required bank certificates on the bank letterheads). My education sponsor is in the Highly Trusted Sponsors Register. It has been three weeks and I still haven’t got any reply. Does it generally take this long for the visa process? Or is it that this time of the year there are a lot of applications filed at the agency? When can I expect any response from them?

any body tell me that i send my AR uk abudhabi on 10-08-2010 through DHL.after two mont i call embassy and ask about my AR but they told me that we have not recived any AR on my request they send me AR reqest form on 02-09-2010again via e mail then a send my AR through e mai and i recived confermaion mail also on 2-09-2010.plz give me advice wht happend with me.thx

hi sir,
it was really unfortunate that you are lodging your application for third time.no issues this time i will try to guide in a proper way which leads to yield good result.
you said that you are going to submit the statement i didnt understand that what statement you are going to submit to the high commission.if it is savings account then it is ok (any how you are submitting latest date mentioned statement itself )
and next about the photocopies of your documents its not necessary bout if you want to keep the photocopies for your reference you can keep it.while dropping the visa all your originals are dropped.
Try to drop the documents which ever necessary that is every thing is mentioned in the CAS leter on what basis they have given you the cas.because visa officer i sparticular about the documents considered at the time of cas issued.
No issues if you take photographs from the vfs center i generall suggest that pics itself inorder to save our valuable time.
try to be 10 mins before the appointment scheduled for you.

Yes i’ve attached the statement of ICICI Bank’s Savings Account, I’ve taken the photocopies of all my documents, but I saw in various posts and comments, Daniel has mentioned about Photocopy of PBS Appendix 8, I’ll take that as well, just to be on safer side.
I’ve attached all the documents as mentioned in the CAS Letter.

Dear DLF
Have you applied through some agent or Tried to save money on that???It seems that you are not aware of BASIC guidelines of Visa Application and so have got TWO Refusals. Visas in India are refused since July 209 for the reason Bank Statement not on PRINTED Letterhead of Bank with Logo. Your Second Refusal is also due to lack of Knowledge. Now for third time(after loosing already 30000 Rs. take following care –
Your Statement dated July 2 covering perios uoto July 1- Make sure that Last Tranasaction Entry must be within One Month from July 5.
Make sure that No gape between Last Transaction Date and Balance Certificate date more than 1 day. i.e Transaction date July 1 and Balance Cewrti date July 2.
Imp ADVICE : Contact some REALLY Good Consultant before applying.

I applied through an agent itself and not on my own as this is my first time I ever thought of going abroad for studies.
I have possibly this time taken care of all the guidance as you just provided, I just wanted to clear a doubt of mine, is Balance Certificate really needed? Because on the UKBA Website, they have asked only for the Bank statement on the Letter Head of Bank bearing the logo and the name of the issuing bank and that the statement period end date must not end more than 1 month before the application date. Though I have added Balance Certificate on the Letter head of the bank just in case to be on a safer side.
