  • What is the status of alliance resource nvq training center in ilford? They don’t inform the students if they are suspended or not. They are in the suspended list but still they accept students.

    • Hi Alayans

Their licence has been suspended for some time now. The only students that they will be able to enrol are students from within the EU. I would advise students not to pay a college whilst their licence is suspended as they will not be able to issue you with a CAS number and your money will be tied up with them – you will only get a refund if your visa is refused and whilst their licence is suspended, no visa applications will be considered anyway.

If they are continuing to enrol students maybe it would be worth emailing the UK Border Agency with some evidence and they can take further action. Contact the UK Border Agency to report breaches of immigration law.

  • dear all,
i dont know how this policy is going in the favor of students and colleges….coz
….when if a student gets visa but he is deported on arrival UK due to “D” listing of his college.
…. and a student who is already studing in college which is “D” listed later then what will he do..

i thinnk so both cases student will be deported.

wasting of time and money …who will pay for this…
comon ukba… bring professionalism in your policy and services. These are colleges not grossery shops.

    • Hi

As of 1 March 2010 West London Business College’s sponsor licence is still suspended. They have the following statement on their website:

This is to inform you that West London Business College’s Tier 4 Sponsorship Licence has been put on hold by UKBA (Home Office). We are continuing with our normal activities with guidance given by the Home Office. We are also carrying on with our obligations as a Sponsor. There will be no interruptions in any lectures.

In addition to Ealing Broadway, we have also acquired additional premises in Northfields and classes are starting there from Tuesday 26th January 2010. Please check this week’s timetable with your teacher or the reception to inform yourselves of any possible changes. This will probably only affect ABE students.

Finally, West London Business College is not the only college to be going through this process with the Home Office as more than 100 colleges have had their licenses put on hold in the last two weeks.

While we clarify our position with the Home Office students are reminded to attend classes regularly, complete their assignments on time and perform their student duties as usual. The college will be visited by the Home Office very soon when we will be able to address any concerns the Home Office may have.

However, given your username, could it be you who’s best placed to give us an update?

    • Hi Grace

Still no news I’m afraid – I’m still chasing them for an update. Sadly, as of 1 March 2010, their sponsor licence is still suspended.

    • There’s no way to tell Tahir, that’s what the huge problem is. No one really knows who is genuine and who isn’t. If I were you, I’d prepare for the worst as I imagine all visa applications from this college will be closed and the sponsor may lose their licence.
