Differences against the Tier 4 Register 21 April 2010
From now on, Highly Trusted Sponsors will be dealt with on the Highly Trusted Sponsors List, whilst Tier 4 Sponsors Register posts will cover A-rated, B-rated and Trusted Sponsors.
The following schools and colleges were removed from the Register (most probably an error as all three were previously A rated):
- Anglo-Continental School for Young Learners
- Sussex Summer Schools
- Thomas Adams School and Adams College
The following schools and colleges were added to the Register:
- None

Dear Daniel
I have submitted my visa application file at Mirpur Uk visa Application center, Pakistan on 20th April. It so happened that my college’s license has been suspended few days back. I am much worried what to do? My agent told me that my file will be processed accordingly as CAS Number is issued by UK Home Office. But guide me what to do now, as i was reading your few previous advises in which you told that it takes 5 to 6 months for a college to come back on the sponsor list. Now guide me please as I am much upset due to it.

Hi Rehan
Whilst a sponsor’s licence is suspended, no visa applications will be considered. So, your application will not even be looked at by an ECO until the status of the college’s licence to sponsor migrants is confirmed.

Hi Manou
It can take schools and colleges anywhere from 3-6 weeks to several months to be inspected by the UK Border Agency, for a Sponsor Action Plan to be drafted if needed and to be re-included on the Register.
You should keep checking the master list of college suspensions to see when your colleges suspension is resolved.
Only the college and the UKBA will know for sure. After inspection, 32 days is set aside for correspondence, so it isn’t a quick process. Find out more on the timescales: what happens to my education provider if their licence is suspended?.

hi. i hope somebody can help me verify the news i just received. A friend of mine just sent me a message informing me that Albion College’s suspension has already been lifted and will be back on the list anytime soon. I hope somebody could shed me some light about this. I badly need it. Thanks.

Hi, how can you say they were removed possibly because of an error. Obviously the ukba have found they are not fully up to scratch for some reason.
I was under the impression all colleges on tier 4 list will be inspected at some point.
Also there are many bogus still on the list with A rating who haven’t been inspected yet.
Im not understanding the ukba for giving some colleges their A rating back who are bogus and then also letting them establish a brand new college, what is going on here.
I think ukba employed a bunch of cowboys because it seems they have no idea.

Hi Johnsmith
The UKBA makes errors in updating the list all the time; you only need to look at the churn in the Highly Trusted Sponsors List – you will see schools move from Highly Trusted to A rated everyday, back and forth for you several days in a row. This has nothing to do with the status of the licence or bad practice at the institution; it’s just that the UKBA are making errors when they update.
