  • Correspndents wrote recently about the suspension of Albion College from the UKBA list. I wish to respond to their understandable queries.

A number of students at ALBION have been upset about the suspension and many made to feel insecure.

I have been involved with ALBION COLLEGE for upward of three-years and have referred MANY international students to it. I have got to know the Principals and some members of their staff. I have also had contact with students that were referred.

I recommended ALBION to ASIC for registration.

ALBION College obviously and inadvertently screwed up on some minor technicalities and I believe that they are now waiting the outcome of a recent inspection by UKBA.

I know that they have now closed all the administrative gaps and am 100% confident that they will soon be restored to the UKBA list. Human fraility has been identified!

ALBION COLLEGE is a first rate college and provides excellent teaching to genuine students. They only go for the best in lecturers and provide an education that is supported by accredited course providers.

It has not been an easy time for students, staff and supporters of ALBION to know that there had been administrative glitches of one sort or another. To have to live under the umbrella of suspicion has not been easy for all concerned.

However, rest assured that ALBION will rise again and, having learnt the valuable lessons of having to dot every i and cross every t, will soon be receiving more students.

I, for one, will continue to recommend this first class college as being amongst the best in London.

    • Bruce, perhaps you could use your personal connections to get an update from Albion College? There are many worried students – many here – and the college has remained quiet on the subject. What do you think?
