Student Visitor Visa – what is it?
The Student Visitor Visa (SVV) is for students taking a short course of study in the UK for six months or less.
Today the Home Office has sent a proposal to all ministers seeking a raise in the English language level needed for students to come and study in the UK.
Since 10 January 2011, English language students wishing to attend exclusively English language courses will be able to apply for a student visitor visa allowing them to stay for up to 11 months.
From 16 June 2008, both the main applicant and any dependents applying for an extension of stay (further leave to remain) in the United Kingdom using application forms for students FLR(S) will also need to complete the new section (7) of the application form which covers biometric immigration documents.
